The remains of the Upper Castle(2)
It was partially rebuilt by The Friends of Treuchtlingen’s Castle who have safeguarded the castle since 1974. During excavation work they also uncovered buried walls which were later restored.
Nowadays the Burgruine festival, which takes place every year, as well as theatre plays and concerts always draw a huge crowd.
